Our Horses...

Many equine athletes come to the Sanctuary. The majority of our horses are successfully rehabilitated through our protocols and re-trained for basic dressage and trail riding. We teach them respectful ground manners and help them develop the necessary people skills to safely interact with a wide variety of humans. This lengthy process allows us to have a greater success rate at placing these horses in long-term homes then if we just rehabilitated their physical injuries. We carefully screen each adoptive home before placing our horses with a no sell, breed or compete contract.

OUR CURRENT GOOD WILL AMBASSADORS (permanent residents)

The permanently injured horses, not appropriate for adoption, have the opportunity to live the remainder of their lives at the Sanctuary in dignity and grace. They are loved for who they are, not for what they do, or produce. Our good will ambassadors or permanent residents are as varied and unique as the people who come to visit them at the Sanctuary. These amazing horses and what they have survived provide hope and inspiration for everyone who meets them. These horses are then used for educational and therapeutic experiences with children, students and the disabled.

We at the Sanctuary know no greater joy than to share the inspirational stories of our horses. If you would like to contact us, we would be honored to welcome you to the Sanctuary by scheduled appointment and or provide detailed information on each horse.
